Rice Tea Step 1Spread the rice in a pan. Dry-fry the rice over medium heat, stirring constantly so that they brown evenly. The process should take about 10 minutes. Pour hot water over the rice and allow to steep for 1 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea, longer for stronger tea. You can also add some dried tangerine peel, goji berry, jujube or ginger to the tea. To make Genmaicha (green tea with roasted rice), add a green tea bag.
